ABOUT ME

Wandering the world brings a rush in my body which makes me feel alive! I quit my job 3 years ago to only choose and do what makes me happy. Two years of traveling inside India and 5 countries in 9 months has given me soul nourishing experiences making it worth to have left the corporate life.

MY TRAVEL COMPANION

Digital marketer by profession and an artist by passion, Charu and I met in a competition where we supported each other despite being opponents. She’s can sail through situations outside her comfort zone with a smile. We both love the camera and this makes us the perfect travel buddies

OUR ROUTE

#trueculture

The local customs, wisdom, arts and rituals that guide your way

Praying with a monk

Redefining Shakti for change

Praying with a monk

We went to visit the Peace Pagoda, a Japanese-style Buddhist temple in Darjeeling and just when we entered the prayer room, we were signalled to sit down and join the prayer. We played the instrument and chanted “Nam Myo Ho Renge Kyo” as the monk guided us through the mantra written on a board. The ceremony left us at calm, feeling rejuvenated.

Redefining Shakti for change

Visit to the Kamakhya devi temple in Guwahati filled us with emotions. The historic temple is a beautiful sight with it’s carved walls and vintage vibe. After learning about the sacrificial ceremony we felt like it’s time to direct our “shakti” towards change for betterment of mankind.

From rural landscapes to city-scenes; your journey from your perspectives

Sunrise at Kunchenjunga

The Valley between 2 states

Camping on a full moon night

Sunrise at Kunchenjunga

Tiger hill is one of the world’s most beautiful sunrise points. The panoramic view of the Himalayas is a delight to the eyes. When the sun’s rays dance upon the Kanchenjunga range it makes the mountains glow and turns the sky into an artist’s canvas. The sight will leave you mesmerised. A little unfortunate for us that the Himalayan side was cloudy but the view was beautiful nonetheless.

The Valley between 2 states

Dzukou valley lies between Nagaland and Manipur and is one of the most beautiful places in India. Dzukou is less travelled to and remains secluded. It is famous for the Dzukou lillies which bloom during July and August. Luckily, we found lots of them.

Camping on a full moon night

We stayed at a tent at one pf the most beautiful and lesser explored places of India. Dzukou valley had only one guest house and we got a tent which was placed perfectly. It was a full moon night and the camp looked beautiful but the morning turned out to be a delight as well.

All the special connections

All the special connections

Thanks to every person who we made a special connection with somewhere. Traveling brings joy in small forms and meeting new people is one of them. We’re taking back memories we will cherish for a lifetime.

Your culinary road trip that will make the judges hungry!

English breakfast at Keventers

Cooking our own camping meal

English breakfast at Keventers

Keventers is the number one most famous place to eat at in Darjeeling. It was started during the British raj and has been running for more than 100 years. It offers authentic English breakfast on a rooftop seating, just perfect for meat lovers.

Cooking our own camping meal

We got utensils and firewood from the guesthouse, build up a fire and prepared the “meal of the backpackers”- instant noodles. It was task since the smoke kept bilding us and the flame was hard to control but the food turned out to be delicious.

Can Wrangler denim buy us food

Trekking in Traveler Jeans

Can Wrangler denim buy us food

We challenged ourselves to buy a traditional Assamese meal by getting small funds from new people we meet on our trip to Guwahati. We used our Wrangler denims as a sign book to collect good wishes and autographs from everyone who helped is in the funding. Let’s see if we could manage enough or not.

Trekking in Traveler Jeans

I decided to choose the Traveler Jeans by Wrangler to trek to Dzukou valley in Nagaland. Wrangler says these jeans “look like denim, feel like sweatpants”. I couldn’t agree more. They made a comfortable apparel for the trek.
