Traditional wear of Dhankar.

This is the traditional dress of Dhankar, Sulma and Rague. Sulma is for Gentleman and Rague is for ladies. They wear this traditional dress at some auspicious occasion.

History of key Monastery.

Culture is a word for the 'way of life' of groups of people, meaning the way they do things. Every place has some kind of different culture, this key monastery has some real stories which I guess everyone should know. So here is the video clip of my interview with Tenzin Lama.

He became lama at the age of 8

Tabo monastery is the world oldest monastery. They were having traditional Buddha pooja, which takes 3 days to get over, which happens only once in a year. We were so lucky to be a part of that pooja and took an interview of lama on such an auspicious day.

Eyewitnessed Sri Govind Lama

There are times you go as per the planning and then there are times when things happen out of no way, we got the chance to meet Sri Govind lama on our way to Dhankar, spent almost 2 hours with the villagers and witness the celebration and culture.

Traditional Painting of Monk's

These paintings take lot of time and lot of hard work to create, there is a say that if a person is not Abel to complete this painting for any reason, they go mad so it's an advice to do if you are expert with it.

Live Devta from Dhankar

Never thought of experiencing it, never thought of getting this felling from strangers who became our family, who treated us like there own family. Got the chance to eyewitnessed the Devta of village, saw him taking, it was such an aura which can not be define, got the chance to ride horse, went to untouched lake of Dhankar Village, wore traditional dress, had local food, local bevarage.

Got the chance to serve langar

Saw those happy faces while serving pahadi khitchdi (thupka), which is a traditional prassad of Dhankar Monastery, whole village people gathere together to celebrate Buddha Jayanti and share the afternoon meal with local bevarage. Later they all do Pooja and take a walk to untouched lake which is 4km away from village, it's a small trek with steep mountains, everything was full of happiness.

#trueview

From rural landscapes to city-scenes; your journey from your perspectives

Unknown lake of Dhankar.

True view of Spiti

Off Riding.

Mesmerizing Himalayas

Unknown lake of Dhankar.

Dhankar lake, an unknown lake, which takes 45 minutes to an hour, steep height, difficult to walk and that is the reason this lake is untouched and beautiful at the same time.

True view of Spiti

Here I'm showing you Spiti Valley, WHOLE VIEW in one video, from how we started a trip to what we did. A small glimpse of everything, Narkanda, Pooh, Nako, Tabo, Kaza, Dhankar, Langza, Hikkim, Lahul, Chicham breeze (the World highest breeze), Hikkim post office, at the highest altitude, Tabo Monastery, which is the world oldest Monastery. One thing was contsant, love from villagers.

Off Riding.

One of the step to get the best view is opt for off riding, Spiti have lot of hidden gems which you can see if you just drive but with responsibility. I drove to random mountains where ever there was trek or place to go because you need to go one step ahead to get perfect view.

Homestay like a family.

Norzom homestays, one of the best place where we stayed on our trip. The whole family was so humble, they welcomed us like there own family. we didn't feel like we were strangers for them.

League tournament.

Played with young boys who were the part of the tournament. They were happy as we outsiders were cheering them up.

Palying football with kids

Key monastery, one of rhe picturesque monastery, people walk for kilometers to get perfect click but the thing which attracted me was small kids playing Football, people think that those children don't get each and every facilities as the city kids get but the fact is Himalayas are full of knowledge and patience, I was amazed by looking at them, how they study how they play, how they talk.

Timok traditional food ofspiti

Timok: The traditional food of Dhankar village, made out of flour, ghee and oil. Steam like Momos, and its ready, it takes a lot of time to prepare, our Norzome Homestay owner was so good that he taught us how to make it, everyone should try Timok once.

Exploreing the street sid food

This small cafe is situated in Kinnaur and this lady is famous for her kadi chawal. You can't rely on food when you are traveling but that day our lunch was great. A famous spot for truck drivers and even for wanderers like us.

Denim which comforts you.

Denim which comforts you.

Clothing defines us more than we think. Wrangler has a perfect blend of style & comfort, yes it is very tough as the name Wrangler. It has been my best companion on my road trip. I love road trips but never drove wearing jeans but wrangler jeans are so comfortable, I didn't feel like I'm wearing jeans and driving for 11 to 12 hours in a stretch, never felt this kind of comfortness and smoothness.
